David Yost was born on 7 January 1969, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, USA. He did his B.A. in communication and dramatic arts from the Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa. He is a national level sportsperson who competed in gymnastics, and has won the state championships in Iowa and Montana.
He moved to Los Angeles with the dream of becoming an actor. He earned the role of “Billy Cranston” in the television series ‘Power Rangers‘ within the period of three months. His acting venture on the television, also includes ‘Power Rangers: Zeo’, in which he became the technical advisor to the other rangers and ‘Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers’, in which he played “Blue Ranger“.
He has acted in a film named ‘Ladykiller‘ in which he played the role of “Josh White” and in a TV movie named ‘After Diff’rent Strokes: When the Laughter Stopped’ in which he played the role of a Playboy photographer. He appeared in a movie ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie’, which earned over thirty million dollars at box the office, in 1995.
He is associated with the production work of some television series like ‘You Are What You Eat’ (field producer), ‘Temptation Island‘ (associate producer) and ‘Alien Hunter’ (producer). He has also acted as the associate producer for ‘The Mary Kay Letourneau Story’ and ‘After Diff’rent Strokes: When the Laughter Stopped’.
He performed in a play for A.P.L.A (A.I.D.S. Project Los Angeles), which was about six actors dealing with the AIDS virus, and its profits were for the benefit of ‘The Children’s Hospitals AIDS Centre‘. The play was named ‘Fallen Guardian Angels’ and it was performed at “the Complex” in Los Angeles.

David Yost is playing “Billy Cranston” in ‘Power Rangers’ tv show. He is the only Power ranger to have appeared in the entire Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series, and acted as the brain for the team of power rangers.
