Jason David Frank was born on 4 September 1973 in Covina, California. He is the son of Ray and Janice and had and elder brother named Eric Frank, who passed away at the age of 21, in 2001. He studied at the Bonita High School. He has married twice and his first wife was Shawna Frank with whom he has two children named Jacob and Hunter. He is currently married to Tammie Frank and the couple has one child named Skye.

He started to train in martial arts from the age of four at the Red Dragon Karate School. He earned the black belt at the age of twelve. He is now a sixth degree black belt holder and owns four Karate schools under Rising Sun Karate, including the Red Dragon Karate School. He founded the style of Toso Kune Do, which is taught at the Rising Sun Karate. From 2006 onwards, he started his career in a Muay Thai/MMA, which is a form of hard martial arts. He earned a position in the World Karate Union Hall of Fame on 28 June 2003.

He has a special place in the television series of Power Rangers as he has appeared in eight seasons and has worn the suites of variety of colors- green, white, red and black. His acting ventures include films like ‘Fall Guy: The John Stewart Story’, ‘The Junior Defenders’, ‘Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie’, ‘Groupies‘, ‘Mighty Morphine Power Rangers: The Movie’ and ‘Burning Desires‘. He appeared on television for “Mighty Morphine Power Rangers’, ‘Power Rangers: Zeo’, ‘Power Rangers: Turbo’, ‘Power Rangers Dino Thunder’, ‘Power Rangers S.P.D.‘ and ‘Power Rangers: Wild Force’. He has also made his appearances for other television series like ‘Ultimate Goals’ (as himself), ‘The Residents of Washington Heights’, ‘Undressed‘ and ‘Meego‘, etc.
